MB Ramen is a tiny ramen restaurant located along Huntington Village in Huntington Long Island. Huntington Village is a popular dining and entertainment location. You can see a show, have some dinner, shop for clothes or even buy jewelry.

One Saturday during an outing with my best girlfriends we strolled along Huntington Village looking for lunch. We utilized Yelp to find a few places but the restaurants we wanted to try didn’t open until 5pm. We came across what seems to be the ONLY ramen spot in this area. After doing a little research this place is known as the best ramen in the area and it is seemingly the only place to grab ramen.

When you walk in, you’ll get an immediate vibe of urban 90s with graffiti, board games, cool art, diner stool seating in the front (where you can watch food get made) and video game consoles all around. Since it was a Saturday afternoon this place was packed. It is pretty small and there are seats along the diner area and in the back.

This is cool neighborhood to hang out but if you live in the city (NYC) you’ll have to drive to get here. I searched for transit options and most likely you would have to take the Long Island Rail Road to a bus and then walk more than 15 minutes so the best bet is driving in. Parking is pretty easy to get which is a perk.

MB Ramen is obviously famous for its ramen but the rice bowls  are pretty amazing (and filling). My friends ordered the Tokyo ramen which I tried and the noodles were cooked to perfection and the pork belly was soft and seasoned. I ordered the chashu rice bowl and good god. I would take a drive to Huntington just to get this again. This rice bowl contained pork belly, a soft egg, corn, cucumber, scallions, a few different pickled items: onions, ginger and daikon. If you are not in for a soup option the rice bowl is your best option here. I would skip the fried chicken bao buns and go straight for the entrees because it’s so filling and also the baos weren’t the greatest.

General prices here are $12-$14 dollars for an entree/bowl. We did have to wait almost 30 minutes for a table but we also arrived around 1pm on a sunny Saturday so expect a wait if you intend on dining here during the weekend.

The staff here is great! Super friendly. The server we talked with felt bad we had to wait so long and offered us seats at the front and was pretty helpful when answering questions about the menu.

MB Ramen is great for a casual lunch, dinner, hang with friends and even bringing the kids. There’s so much fun art on the walls and ramen is a pretty fun dish to eat if you are a kid. This place is great for the whole family.
